Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Some more details:
- September release
- Bigger and more detailed world than any thing Rockstar has ever created.
- Near one-to-one recreation of 1947 L.A.
- Over 140 interiors. Many are multi-room structures.
- Mind-boggling number of fully rendered objects you can examine and manipulate.
- In-game map - old downtown out to Hollywood
- Storefront windows are modeled in 3D with accurate period products.
- To help in modeling a lot of vintage cars, they took photographs of classic cars in Jay Leno's garage.
- Every character from the protagonist to a random pedestrian is fully voiced and animated. There's over 300 actors and actresses being used in L.A. Noire
- Aaron Staten (Mad Men) voices the lead character. Staten has played all the GTA games with his favorite being Vice City.
- The focus is on investigation, but there's still enough combat to please action fans.
- Producer describes the game as an adventure game that plays like GTA.
- The more facts and evidence you gather, the greater your options will be during an interview.
- Over 90% of the game's cases are based on real incidents, with some alterations to ensure that participants in the events and their living relatives are not brought to light.
- You can warp to locations via the map screen if you don't feel like driving.

Hopefully some gameplay videos come out soon. This game came out of the blue for me but now it's one of the games I'm most looking forward to this year.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Wait this game is gonna be on the 360? WOOHOO!
This game has been on my radar since last year when I heard it was just going to be a PS3 release and I was sad that I have a 360. This game is going to be a 1st day buy for me.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Been excited for this since I first heard about it (I started the thread), it was the lone game I'd miss from when I sold my PS3 almost 2 years ago. Now that it's coming to 360...I'm pumped to say the least.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
My buddy pointed this out for me. Right up my alley considering the time period and source material.
Stoked to see more about it as it gets closer. Hope the driving is easier than in GTA. Even when I wasn't trying too I was running over hookers and suchComment

PS3 owner here, but I agree that this is great news. Other than games created in house, I find it pretty stupid for games to be exclusive nowadays. I'm glad everyone will get to enjoy this.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Agree 100%. DLC, games, etc. Anything but first party should be multi-platform IMO. Just how I posted in the GTA threads, I was happy to see the 2 big downloads hit GTA 4 for PS3.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Rockstar is doing it big with these games. They continue to change the gaming landscape. They're bringing the old west to gamers and now they're bringing detective work in the 40's?
Really looking forward to this one."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I'll believe it when I see it. It lifts my expectations when it says that the whole game is centered around the investigation, but there's only so much thinking you can put into a game without alienating a lot of their audience.
I'm hoping and praying that they hold true to their word and it's a real thinker's game, but I'm skeptical.Comment
