Does the War Tapes setting just intensify the sound?

I was loving it last night, only had one instance where the servers went down, and thats when it went down for both 360 and PS3. Other than that, smooth as butter. Awesome experience online, had some fun games with Longhorn, Dookie, Candyman and other OS'ers.

Here is what it says in the manual about the War Tapes Setting...

"The most extreme setting for an intense audio experience."

It sounds like a real war zone.

Awesome!! Thanks man, I'm at work and by the time I got home, I would have completely forgot to flip through the 1 and a half page manual the game came with. LOL

Yeah, no problem. I usually don't look at manuals either, but just decided to glance through it. Glad I did.

Re: Battlefield 2: Bad Company and Battlefield 1943 announced

Played a few rounds last night with Terry and it was a blast. Then my daughter would not go to bed so after the servers went down i didnt have a chance to get back on. That said...

Game is pretty damn good. Lots of those holy ****! moments. We had a blast playing. and i definitely suggest being in a squad of friends. Best way to play hands down. At first, we had no idea what was going on. As we continued to play though everything started to make a little more sense. Gotta keep remembering that shooting takes gravity ( and i think wind as well?) into account which makes it a much more difficult ( and then gratifying once you get it) experience.

Look me up online if you want to get a few games in.

Ok time for my own personal "Battlefield Moments"....add your own!!!

  • Africa Harbor - Some guy on our team was super-tank-commander, I was using the UAV and was just spotting people, as I haven't unlocked the alternate fire yet and he was just wrecking guys left and right. It was pretty much spot, a couple of shots from him and death.
  • Laguna Presa - I was using the Recon class and we were the defenders on Rush mode, and I was on a roof top scouting guys that were coming in from the Laguna and a couple of assault guys were like sharks just killing anybody that tried to land on the beach
  • Nelson Bay - I was using the Medic class and we were the attackers, I'm in a random squad and we have a couple of assault guys and a Recon guy along w/me. I'm trailing the Assault guys trying to offer support and health, one of them gets killed and I revive him and get overwhelmed, the other assault guys kills the rest, picks up kit and revives me...teamwork FTW!!

Depends on the gun you're using, the 1st sniper gun is bolt-action, so it's very powerful and accurate, but takes a bit to reload. Some of the later snipers have quicker reloading but are weaker.

My favorite game ever!

Ok not sure about that but I'm a little emotional right now. Just an aweseome game. I'm thinking about it right now first thing in the morning.

What's this war tapes thing you speak of? A sound setting?
