Battlefield 2: Bad Company and Battlefield 1943 announced

Ok battlefield veterans is definitely messed up. It says I am veteran level 5, but the thing is I was 2 before and it just bumped up 3. The only battlefield games I own are BF2, BC1 and BC2. I don't mind having a 5 instead of 2, but some others can't even get the veteran status to work.

I use the grenade launcher in places with a lot of buildings. Take all the ways out and there isn't many places to hide. I love the shotgun attachment with assault class and I am just now using smoke a lot more. My favorite weapons are on the engineer class, but that's my least favorite class to use.

I dont think I've ever been in a match where someone used a smoke grenade. I know we've talked about how it'd be nice to have them while we were in a party but still never come across it.

I'm always an engineer since the rest never pay attention to enemy helicopters. I end being the one to take the choppers down with my rockets.. leading the rocket definitely takes a bit to learn but its always fun when you get the guy that just hovers to make it so much easier for you

I often load up with smoke grenades as assault and blanket an area when attacking to keep snipers at bay.... also cool to use on an enemy tank to give your C4 guy a chance to plant on it.

the nice thing is that it is so easy to change your load-outs between respawns.

I'll load up with smoke and then next time switch to GL to take out a wall and often switch to the Thompson with C4 to kill a tank or engineer with mines or rocket launcher to mark or kill helis... or sniper to 2 shot kill the UAV or headshot a pesky sniper... really cool if you use the classes and load outs to your advantage at every given moment rather than marrying one.

I was working with smoke grenades last night. Rich and I weren't too impressed by how little smoke they actually provided.

yea, I usually use 2 (which is a nice screen but does not last very long) and maybe re-ammo and send out some more... another thing to remember is that you need to send the grenade far enough for it to arm to explode properly as well... I've shot some and they are duds.

I use smoke almost exclusively on assault. You can reammo youself so I've filled a whole map with smoke while my team takes objectives.

Works on Defense to for disarming.

I used them a couple of times in a match, but they didn't seem to be very effective. If they were like the smoke grenades in MAG, then I would see a purpose in using them.
