I don't ever have my tracer equipped.

How is it not helping your team? I understand their are cases of it happening (just like people playing deathmatch in domination in MW2), but I've had some of my best matches as just a sniper in BC2.

I was on the attacking team on Isla Inocentes and for some reason the defenders didn't have a single recon so I stayed on the same hill in the same spot for the entire match. I must have racked up 20 headshots, but also whenever a teammate would arm an MCOM I would rain down a mortar strike. My only problem was I ran out of ammo because none of the numerous guys playing an assault class would drop ammo.

If they're literally not doing anything, but shooting.. I could understand.

If they're spotting, dropping mortars, motion mines, etc... I don't understand.

When I'm sniping, I move up when the M-com's are destroyed. When our team plants a charge, I'll rain down mortar strikes. I also use the spot scope perk, or whatever you call it. It helps out picking out enemies for your' team mates.

Sometimes, I'll rock the svu with a 4x scope so I can get closer to the action.. it just depends.

Wow, my friend. I like that idea.

But, like others have said just because they are hanging back doesn't mean they are not helping the team. But, if you know that person and know they are going to brag about their inflated K/D ratio, then it's a win.

It has something to do with helping the engineer class guys, I think. It allows them to lock onto vehicles/choppers.. I could be wrong ?

The tracer are darts are used for the first two Rocket Launchers. When they are attached the aiming is easier.
