Anyone know if the servers are still up for this game for the console version?

I'm sure they still are.

I mentioned buying this to a few of the 360 guys the other night.

The Rush maps are really awesome.

I'm pretty sure they still are as I had a buddy on my friends list playing last night.

Also....my other friend and I were talking, and for some reason we enjoyed BC2 waaaay more than BF3. It just seemed alot more funner, and not to mention you can destroy sooo much more, and oh yea....the 50cal in the tanks actually WILL kill enemy's,unlike in BF3 where they would still be able to run away,or better yet run though the rain of bullets only to plant the c4 and still blow up your tank.

I also enjoyed BC2/Vietnam better than BF3.

Yes they are for both 360 and PS3. I have a buddy back at home that swears by BC2 so I squad up with him every once in a while. Still has a pretty large community still going to. Can't think of a time we couldn't find a full game. Even Vietnam servers are populated enough to find games.

The one thing that irks me about BC2 though is that you have to plant a tracer (unless you find an AA gun) to try and take down a heli which in turn removes your secondary weapon. Besides that, great game.

Re: Battlefield 2: Bad Company and Battlefield 1943 announced

I was a helicopter destroying machine in Bad Company 2. I think it also helps that circle strafing in a heli and circling the battlefield in a transport chopper was a lot easier. The guided RPG works like a Kornet launcher and the actual stationary launchers are easier to control in Bad Company 2.

I kind of liked how the classes worked in BC2 with the medic rocking a LMG.

Now I'm itching to play some Bad Company 2. I may have to go pick up a copy sometime soon.

Do it. I played the hell out of this online. Unfortunately I didn't have a group to run with most of the time, but I manged pretty well. I loved sniping on Isla Inocentes.
