Sweet impressions Phobia. I don't have the rig to run this game (just barely meet passable on System Requirements Lab) but it isn't stopping me from enjoying it. Engineer is definitely my favorite class and you can get some massive points rattled up.

As for levelling I am almost Level 2 after playing a few hours today. One guy killed me though and was Level 10. I'm thinking that person has played for more than a few hours.

I thought the max level was 3?

Hmm maybe, I'm on 360 so I wouldn't know. XP for level 3 on 360 is 4980000+ or maybe thats level 4 I dunno, I'm at 18,000'ish XP on level 3 :P

This is definitely no cod killer. The demo to me feels exactly like that last version. it's just as awkward as the last one.

I hope it's just an old build as posters such as flawless has suggested earlier in the thread. I'll give retail a rent, but right now the game is surprisingly identical to the first.

There's no way the demo build is older than the PS3 beta. Sadly, DICE made changes to things that didn't need any and screwed up the controls. I'm interested in playing the PSN demo to at least see how it controls. The game is still somewhat enjoyable, but it's gone from a definite purchase to wait and see.

Re: Battlefield 2: Bad Company and Battlefield 1943 announced

First off, I have never played any of the previous Battlefied games. But playing the demo in this I've loved it. That being said, I have a few (dumb) questions since I'm new to the franchise.

1) No going prone? What's up with that?

2) Can you have two primary weapons? Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but if I switch out weapons I keep my pistol and lose my original primary?
