Im okay with that...thought it was pretty cool that the guy could see the enemy with bonoculars but not in plain eyesight.

I've seen that kind of stuff on live tv before so I like what I see

You can get ArmA II Combined Ops (Both game and expansions) for $19.99

It would be good to get used to it and be ready for ArmA III

No he means get ARMA 2 combined operations which is default ARMA 2 and the operation arrow head expansion. Thousands still play, finding empty servers can be tough at times.

For the price I would just go ahead and get 2 to learn the game because it is very deep and will take you months to really get a good feel for it.

I just wrote zeros to my PC and reinstalled the OS. I'm going to install ARMA 2 here in the next couple days again. If anyone is interested in getting in some coop missions in the next couple weeks, let hook up.

The ONLY thing I dont like about ARMA is that there is no cover system. Well, atleast I dont remember there being a system. Other than that, one of the greatest military games ever made. Haven't played it in a while though, after I got dirty drunk and punched my alienware destroying the computer in the process. Totally out of my character and the wife isn't looking too highly on me buying another one anytime soon.

I open up my dvd case and ARMA II is just sitting there all alone. Damn I want to play it again sooo bad. Oh, and I only drink on very rare occasions now. With a very strict limit.

There is no "stick" to cover system like saw Rainbow Six Vegas, but you can still utilize cover how you would in real life. Couple examples

Low Brick Wall - You can lay behind it or crouch to remain behind cover then using lean controls to open up firing opportunities.

Building - A team can stack along the wall with the leading solider using the slice corning technique to open up opportunities.

If you really want to learn real world tactics and how to apply them in game. I suggest giving this a read. It will take you couple days to get through it but it has a ton of great information.

Understand camo and such, and even going behind a boulder or tree but man... it doesn't have to be RB6 like, honestly we need it to go to the next step.

No soilder just learns to stick his head out in the open, there needs to be something in these games that simulate some sort of control for cover.

That said it wont stop me from getting this one.. those are just my feelings on FPS in general.
