Brothers in Arms Furious 4 (Xbox 360/PS3)

With this game being announced at E3 2011, longtime fans of the BiA series may part ways like myself. Brothers in Arms was the only franchise that strived for authenticity and great storytelling of soldiers during World War II. The old Call of Duty and Medal of Honor games could not compare. While this game may turn out to be fun, it may mark the end of a great series, with a name that doesn't fit.

So far, this is the worst news of E3 for me.
Any longtime Brothers in Arms fans out there have something to chime in?

Down right blasphemous....i was ooking forward to see BIA in Bastogne which was mentioned in the last game ending....

Jeez they really should take out the title brothers in arms on this game....

The trailer reminds me of Borderlands in WW2 but it shouldnt have Brothers in Arms in the title at all.

This is not a good idea. This will most likely be one of the stupidest games ever made and I hope it gets put in the same landfill with E.T.

WTF was that? Loved the MP in one of the BIA. When you and a bud controlled some CPU troops along with your own guy. Was really well done.

They did say you will be getting your authentic Brothers In Arms experience later on down the line. Give this game a chance before you bash it. You haven't even seen gameplay video yet. Everyone always complains about not getting the same IP rehashed and still complain smh.

I didn't actually watch the game be announced at E3, so if you are correct about them continuing the traditional Brothers in Arms series, then I'll be happy. I would love to know where you got this information from though. Also, regardless of this, the game simply doesn't deserve to be called Brothers in Arms, and many fans have been waiting for three years for the real game, not this.

It definitely caught me off-guard. I absolutely love this series and I hope it doesn't go in this direction for very long. As someone else suggest, maybe drop the Brothers in Arms title and go with something else, it's basically Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands in the WWII era, not a fan of the premise even though the game might be good.

They should remove the Brothers In Arms name and just call it The furious 4. It really is a disservice to the Brothers In Arms franchise and I won't be going anywhere near it.
