Games with negative reviews you've enjoyed

I just started playing Game of Thrones and I am pretty enthralled with it. I looked at the reviews and it got shredded. I am also a huge fan of the show so that could be a reason I enjoy it and am able to look over some of the rough spots.

What are some games that you guys have played and enjoyed in spite of negative reviews across the board? (I may want to pick some up )

Final Fantasy XIII....okay, maybe it didn't get 'across-the-board' bad reviews, but it seems like everyone on the Interwebs hated the game, and I loved it. I mean, I actually really thoroughly enjoyed it. It's linear. If you know that going in, it shouldn't be a deal-breaker.

Also NCAA Football 2k2 on Dreamcast...I realize that probably doesn't help you in the present, but I just have to put that out there. I loved that game and played it so much, it's probably still in my DC now in some closet somewhere I haven't looked in years...

God Hand. IGN (I know, I know... IGNorant) gave it a 3/10 and the game is great.

I don't put any stock in 'professional' game reviews (I'll listen more to ppl that I know which have similar tastes in games to me)

Because as we know gaming journalism isn't exactly 'on the straight and narrow'

Anyway, Alpha Protocol was a decent game that received mostly negative/average reviews. Game can be had for around $5 used. Picked up a copy a while back and enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking, but worth the price tag.

There are some good ones floating around in here. Looking at some prices you could reaaaaally game it up on a budget with these.

Put another for Alpha protocol. I also enjoyed Perfect Dark Zero, Shadowrun and more recently Aliens Colonial Marines

Hmm, with all the endorsements of Alpha Protocol, I may have to to pick it up soon. I wanted to try it when it came out but it got lost in the mix. Then when I saw all the negative criticism I guess it fell off the list.
