Re: H1Z1 (Sony Online Entertainment)

An open world with other survivors residing in a US city and banding with others for survival can be amazing if done right... It will also be free and we know how absolutely amazing these free-to-play games have been. They've said they will continue to build other US cities within their world so you're basically living off a zombie-apocalyptic land. Wonder what happens to you if you go ka-put?

Don't get your hopes up. Planetside 2 from the same team has been AWOL for more than 6 months now without any PS4 news.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be confrontational about your post, just curious as to what made you think this might have single player. It would be cool, but I never once thought a game like this was going to include single player.

Sent from my GS4 using TT
Through no fault of Sony Online.
I first heard of this game through another "source"....and assumed it was a single player game with online multiplayer.
It wasn't until just recently that I found out it was strictly MMORPG.
I'm just waiting for someone to make a really good open world apocalyptic survival game.....in the vein of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(which I loved!) again.

Re: H1Z1 (Sony Online Entertainment)

This is F2P, right? I wonder how that'll be implemented....

Too many times it's done where you're horribly limited unless you subscribe or something....hopefully this is done in a better way.

Re: H1Z1 (Sony Online Entertainment)

SOE has had their rough patches with it, but by and large they are the best in the business when it comes to f2p MMOs - which is still kinda like saying "King of the **** heap."

I am still vehemently anti-F2P... but I give credit to SOE. Not to say they didn't have their growing pains (and some games still have stupid decisions, but those were also old games that made a transition.)

Yeah, I remember they did a decent job with DC Universe Online, but part of that is it was a full game turned to F2P, so IMO that's a little different vs. something designed F2P.

Just something I'll keep an eye on for PC. F2P just annoys me in most cases.
