Event tickets are to play in the events, like Battle Royale type things on Event Servers.

Nope. From FAQ Here:

I've read they were going to work on the console version after completing Planet Side 2

Yep. Read that it will be an easier transition to PS4 once Planetside 2 is completed. Since they run on same engine that makes sense.
