I just got to Chapter 5 in Guarma. So the boat just landed.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured. I do get it. Worlds changing and our kind aren't appreciated anymore so it's time to adapt. You can see Morgan start to see this in Dutch's ways and we all know what Marston thinks.

So that part of it is interesting. It just feels repetitive.

Still fun though. Guarma seems like a waste of time that isn't going to push the story further, but hopefully it's fun.

I find I haven't been liking the story. It's basically go to location, try and be a cowboy, people don't like it, shoot up the town, move to next location.

Does the story get better?
You actually get a compelling story in Chapter 6 and the epilogue. It's the best part of the game by a mile.

I have and the game looks significantly better. I did prefer the way the game looked in the old HDR mode compared to the oversaturated non-HDR (playing on PS4 Pro) as I thought it made things look more realistic. With the new HDR Game mode, the in-game guide to setting the levels works really well. On my Sony LED I have peak brightness at 1500 (the logo disappears at 1400 but I have it an extra notch higher per Digital Foundry which noticed a 10% loss of brightness in certain scenes). The paper white setting is at 80 as the logo never disappears.

The sun is blindingly bright, there is a touch more saturation in the colors vs. the standard HDR, though not as much as the non-HDR setting, making an already good looking game that much better! It's still not the best HDR implementation, but much better than it was.

Nice Johnny....I might check out your settings just to see how it looks. I think mine is at 1800/220

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2

You guys weren't kidding. After Guarma the story gets a lot better.

I gotta say though, this game still hasn't met my expectations. That's likely my fault though. I didn't even hype GTA V as much as I hyped RDR2.
