This game was on my radar to some extent, but once I read the reviews and found out that the game was a Bloodborne/Souls meets Diablo style game at its core, it became day 1. I had enjoyed the beta, but not to the point where it was an immediate purchase. That just changed.

Just bought it off the PSN. Can't wait to dive in. This game has similar co-op to the Souls games, correct?

I played about an hour, but man does this game feel good. I know that the difficulty is gonna ramp up, but I appreciate how they ease you into things. In Bloodborne they kinda just toss you in and say figure it out, but this is more structured. I was having so much fun playing.

This game is the real deal. Plays like a dream. I got through the first level, then played the same map on a sub mission, which was really cool as well. Got into the 2nd mission before I died and called it a night (morning, actually).

Gameplay is extremely fluid. It takes a while to get out of SoulsBourne mode and to get the hang of recovering ki. But what I really loved was that I can't remember a single time where I felt like I died cheaply. Every time I was killed, it was my fault either on the sticks or for not being cautious enough.

Add in the loot system, and this game is just killer. If only it had a huge strategy guide like the Souls games. I am a sucker for those things and I need help figuring out some inner workings.
