Re: Metro: Exodus (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC)

Finally dived in for 7 hours. In the first open region. Gameplay and movement is stiff and clunky but I have played far worse so it's more of an annoyance than anything. The horrible "loud" footsteps is worse in my opinion. Thus far, that's my only negatives. Everything else is superb. Visuals are excellent. Music is good. Voice acting is good. Story and characters are great thus far. The intro/prologue was simply amazing. Loved it.

The world, atmosphere, immersion, stealth, crafting, weapon upgrading, survival aspects, world building, etc. I also love the little details like explaining why there's a workbench and what you use it for. Even the intro/prologue is great because it sets up the way you travel the world. Everything simply fits, makes sense and is explained well. Will get back to playing for most of the day tomorrow.

Is there no way to tweak the volume levels so the footsteps are less annoying?

Not that im aware of. The sound options only have master volume and music volume.

15 hours in. Up to the Spring season. Thus far, all of my negatives have been minor. Nothing major, serious or game breaking. At least not for me. Loving the game and the story and characters have me hooked as well as the visuals and the world itself. Will dive back in tomorrow.

Re: Metro: Exodus (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC)

Game is really good. I never played any of the previous Metro games but I will definitely be playing the series going forward (If they make more games). I am loving RTX playing on CPU. Can't wait for more games to get on board and use the technology.

Edit - Looks like the latest PC patch fixed DLSS. Game looks a lot sharper with it on now.
Edit - Looks like I got the bad ending. Not sure how I could have gotten others.

Sounds awesome. Yeah, loud footsteps may be annoying, but hardly a deal breaker lol.

You should get a monitor with at least 144 hz refresh rate for that. Good set up.
