Re: 2019 Gaming Plans

MLB 19 the Show is the only thing solidly on my list but no doubt I'll wind up playing other things sporadically.
Depending what develops with elder scrolls 6, that could be a possibility

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans

Every 2019 purchase is guaranteed except for Left Alive which as of now is 50/50. Every game is for PS4 Pro unless otherwise noted. Only games with a confirmed release date that im buying are listed.

CURRENTLY PLAYING
- Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise

JANUARY: BACKLOG
- Nier Automata
- Yakuza Kiwami 2
- Darksiders III
- Detroit: Become Human
- Ratchet & Clank (2016)
- Spider Man DLC (all)

JANUARY
01/11 - New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (Switch)
01/25 - REmake2

FEBRUARY
02/15 - Far Cry New Dawn
02/15 - Metro Exodus
02/22 - Anthem

MARCH
03/05 - Left Alive
03/08 - Devil May Cry 5
03/15 - The Division 2
03/22 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

APRIL
04/23 - Mortal Kombat XI
04/26 - Days Gone

MAY
05/14 - Rage 2

Trying to eliminate more than half of my current gen backlog in January as im hoping to go into Summer 2019 with only a three game backlog consisting of Dragon Quest XI, Octopath Traveler and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Looking at that 12 game list, im happy that the majority of them are smaller shorter linear based games. Hehe. Thankfully, im not expecting any more games to get a release date for at least the first quarter of 2019 so whatever it is now is what it should stay. So many games, so little time.

I literally have over a dozen and a half games easily in my PS4 backlog. I will be kept quite busy.
This is where I am for 2019. The only game that I'm definitely going to buy is MLB '19. Other than that, I'll try to hold off and play through the backlog of games I currently have.

The only good thing is that I gave my Switch to my sister and brother-in-law so that cut down on some games that needed to be played through.

Currently Playing

MLB '18 The Show
Nascar Heat 3
Battlefield V

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans

One of my resolutions for 2019 is not to spend more than $30 for any game. I have nothing on my radar right now for current gen. Picked up MLB '18, Madden 17, Live 19 and WWE 2k19 for about $65 total. Those will get me through 2019 for those sports.

Most of my gaming $$ in 2019 will continue to be on older generations. Lots of PS3 titles I missed when they were new that are now under $10. I'm building up a nice original Xbox collection, including re-purchasing sports games for $.25 each. Don't play most of them much, but they are fun to reminisce, and a few hold up pretty well and provide hours of fun.

That's the thing I find missing from most of today's sports games. I feel like I'm directing the games more than playing them. I find myself waiting for animations to complete or in the case of WWE 2k19, waiting for my guy to respond of get up. Too much tie spent watching rather than playing.

Re: 2019 Gaming Plans

I can't wait for Resident Evil 2. By far, my favorite game of all-time and now on the PS4 with updated EVERYTHING!

I will definitely buy MLB 19, along with The Last of Us 2, and Days Gone.
