Pre-Order Launch Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYqJALPVn0Y&

The game uses 2 petabytes (1 PB is 1,000 terabytes or 1 million GBs) of images and scans to visualize and render the entire world. That's amazing to me. I would think this has to be the most technologically ambitious game ever made - at least in that department. That said, imagine trying to download the entirety of it and store it locally.

How many hard drives would you need to daisy-chain to store all that information? A quick search finds that 18 TB hard drives seem to be the biggest available for now for consumers. See here: https://www.newegg.com/gold-wd181kry...82E16822234420

Technically meant for enterprise use, the form factor is the still 3.5" so I imagine there's no stopping you from using it in a desktop PC. With a price point of $593 (rounded), at that size (and not including a typical discount for overhead), you'd need 112 drives to cover the storage space alone. Times the price and that comes to $66,416 for storage costs alone.

    Really looking forward to this.

I'm already diving deep into X-Plane but this will be a breath of fresh air.

Should run fine. Probably at high settings. If not you can move the settings around to get your desired look. But yeah, it should run fine.

    What's your processor and memory?

I can run this fine on my PC, I guess I need to get a yoke or stick system.

I also really wanna get into DCS but it's so hard without the peripherals.

Planning on a $1200-$1900 rig by next summer (RTX 2000 series or 3000 series GPU, Ryzen 3900x or 3700x CPU), this will be one of the first games I install on it. Years ago my friends have MFS with a full yoke and rudder pedal system and I had a blast playing it, so I figure it might be time to get something like it for myself.
