Re: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

I think the combat in the trailer looked awesome. Some new moves and combo type things. The Raids remind me a bit of For Honor. Definite purchase.

Re: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

World and setting look amazing. A sandbox viking game with raiding and settlement building is right up my alley. A bit worried if there is going to be too much to do ala Odyssey at times.

Having to collect skills and the damn "chasing pages" bit from AC3 being back are also worrisome.

Re: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Watched some youtoubers who go to play the game for 4 hours and Im excited. I would be fun with a reskinned odyssey as I loved that game but we will see how different it is.

I like the idea of having to find skill books its different from just filling the same old skill tree from the last 2 AC games. I may go after the tattoo books a few times. I also like that your health won't refill automatically and that eating is necessary.

I think no auto generating health can be good and completely change the strategy of a game. Uncharted and TLOU were very different as a result. Forces you to be more defensive and careful. But eating is one of those tedious things that I don’t know about. Do you eat to gain health like a health kit? I haven’t read this year.

Edit:
There are also some smaller changes. The health system has been revamped in Valhalla: passive regeneration while out of combat was replaced by a set number of “rations” that allow players to restore a chunk of their life bar at will. Those rations get replenished by harvesting the plentiful edible items (like berries or mushrooms) around the game world, but it adds an additional dimension to combat by giving players a new system to manage. In the practical sense, giving players access to more health means combat encounters can be longer and enemies more deadly.

Re: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

I can't wait to run, climb and jump to get all those sea shanties or chasing pages. There are songs that your crew can sing when on your longboat so im hoping there's collectible sea shanties.

Regarding health, watch ACG's preview on youtube. He has 6 health rations and as he kept gathering berries, the bar filled and it went to 7. I see this as being similar to Horizon Zero Dawn where you would have that reserve health and can use it to refill your main health bar.

Not going to lie, I wish it was November already!!! LOL.
