Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

This is, honestly, the first Call of Duty I can remember enjoying since Advanced Warfare. I think it will be a day one purchase for me.

I've enjoyed the beta so far & been having fun which is the main thing for me. One thing that has bugged me though is the constant jump strafing or bunny hopping which needs to toned down a bit. Maybe reduce the height of the jump or make gun accuracy more inaccurate while doing it to compensate. Just my 2 cents.

Why doesn't Amazon have a physical copy for pre order of the version needed to upgrade to Playstation 5 for free?? Whatever version that is...

That would be phenomenal if they did that, but that wont happen. It happens just as much in modern warfare. Like quick scoping, it's a skill.

From the official COD website:

"PlayStation 4 version will have an option to upgrade to PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store. Please note: The PlayStation 4 disc must be inserted into the PlayStation 5 to access the digitally upgraded PS5 version of the game."

I agree with toning down the sliding/jumping but for me I'll pass because it feels too "on crack" for me. I'd buy it if it was 25% slower movement all around because I thought it played pretty well - just TOO frantic for me chickens'head's cut off vibe

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

After playing this second Beta weekend, I think I will not buy the game. The Alpha was extremely fun. I do not know what happened, but I just did not enjoy the game this time. I do not feel like sniping was nerfed at all. I felt like there were times where I would try and run, but my guy would freeze (my buddy had the same issue). It was just not enjoyable. And now, I compare it to a free game that I absolutely love in Rogue Company, and I cannot justify paying $60 for a game that is going to be beneath a free game in my Playlist.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

The campaign is different then any other COD game. Has some RPG elements in it. To me plays like a 1st person more action based Phantom Doctrine. You have choices during and before missions, which has consequences. Oh and this game is huge, 130gb. Runs smooth on the Xbox Series X though.
