Re: Grand Theft Auto VI

I think the next GTA should be from the Wild West. Go around, riding horses, picking up bounties.

Wait. ****.

GTA VI set in 80s/90s midwest. Corrupt Texas oilmen, corrupt casinos, and best of all, the peak of truck designs, the boxiness cannot be matched by today's curvy truck styles.

Re: Grand Theft Auto VI

Let’s get crazy and have it take place in the 60s-70s?

You’ll def piss off a lot of folks with those settings.

Re: Grand Theft Auto VI

As long as it's an actual game and not like a MMORPG I'll be fine.

My worry is that they will just make it like GTA Online and release "seasons."

Next Assassin's Creed. You help MLK Jr. seemingly achieve peace, only to learn he is the head of the Cult that has been causing all the problems.

It can take place anywhere and at any time as long as they focus on single play (no chance, right?). Give me my Grand Theft Auto!

GTA games with numeric titles are always set in modern day. This is as consistent as them taking place in the U.S. and having a helicopter on the top left of their cover art.

Things can change with Houser gone, but as long as this is actually GTA VI, I will fully expect a modern day game.

EDIT: As far as locations go, I wouldn't say no to a D.C./Baltimore/Philadelphia type environment. The alternative would be to take those other maps people are making and add a San Fierro and Las Venturas with the Los Santos they do have (and reconfiguring some things there as they see fit). Hell, throw in Liberty City and Vice City while you're at it!

I definitely want to see a lot more AI improvement, especially after seeing what RDR 2 did (and then some). The wanted system also needs a lot more work. I don't know specifically what it is that we need them to do, but I think it has to improve. I don't know if I like seeing where police are, or just evading a circle. What they really, really have to do is fine a way that firing a bullet in the middle of the desert doesn't automatically get you a star, if that makes sense. More of the witness-type aspect that RDR has would be great.

And then yes, echoing others, make the map more useful. Give reason to walk around as important as driving around. When I played RDR 2, I felt like every inch of the map had potential for something to happen there, even if it was collecting something. It was incredible. Would love to see more interiors and better city sprawl, and make use of every end of the map. GTA V had very little reason to leave the city sometimes, it seemed.

Re: Grand Theft Auto VI

Yeah, that has always been a pet-peeve of mine; why do killing a police officer, in a deserted street magically means at least 1 star when I can kill pretty much anyone else and get no stars (at least that's how I remember it). Get rid of it, let me kill police in peace! :P

Also agree with being able to see where police are, why? At least get rid of that later in the game or at least let it be toggled off if you want to.

And the thing that gets me most excited is seeing all the things they did in RDR2 and just applying that kind of effort to a GTA game, ooof.
