Max Payne 1 & 2 remake announced

Hype! I’ve actually never played Max Payne 3. I have it downloaded on my Series X since they added it to BC, but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I played the first two on the OG Xbox so many times all the way through though, love this series.

Max Payne 3 was so good when it came out. I have no idea how it has aged, but it was such an enjoyable game. The shooting was second to none. I'd bet the shooting is still some of the best of all time.

Bought it couple years ago for 360. From what I remember, it played well. That's a game that would be a good remaster candidate. Visually it holds up very well.

The gunplay is what they built GTA V off of IIRC, it'd be a very seamless port assuming the code isn't a mess

The multiplayer in that game was soooo good.

Thinking back, yup that makes total sense.

Very fond memories of these two. I bought my first graphics card to play Max Payne, and when I went to buy the game I distinctly remember being turned away for it being M rated.

I must’ve been 14 or so at the time, so after arguing with the clerk, I had to find my Mom at the other side of the mall and escort her back to Babbages with my tail between my legs.

We were so broke at the time too. I probably replayed the first one no fewer than 20 times over the next year or two.
