Damn, I only have OOTP 2006. Perhaps I will be upgrading soon and I can join in, sounds like an awesome time.

OOTP 8 is only $20 so it's worth the upgrade. However just to be up front, we don't have any current openings and probably won't until we expand after our next season. There is a chance that this could coincide with the release of OOTP 9. I still recommend getting OOTP 8 because it's a great game, just don't want anybody to get pissed if they buy it and can't join the league right away.

Good stuff.

I caved (can't be THAT cheap) and downloaded the setup for 8 overnight (dial up baby).

I'm going to transfer over my Historical league and keep playing solo until maybe later you guys get an opening and will try and sneak in.
The league looks super cool and I've bookmarked the site and will monitor how the teams are doing.
Did you guys make your own uniforms/logos?

It's a combination of a few. Some logos are originals. Some are "edited" from real ones. Some are 100% unique. Same with the unis. We've done a ton of work on getting the full minor league image packs going.

Definately get over to the board and start poking your head around. Our 1982 Championship series between the Wilmington Wildcats and Sin City Gamblers is tonight. After that we hit the off-season running including our first ever World Baseball Classic (Go Dominican Republic!). When we're at this point next season (maybe 3 months from now in real world time at the most) we'll be firing up two brand new expansion teams in the Import League.

But, as I said before, the more time you spend with us NOW... the better equipped you'll be for expansion. Plus, if we do get a drop, you'll be ready to step in.

Another fyi, the league file might be tough to d/l on dialup. It's currently about 26 MB and slowly grows as we move along. We sim on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays so if you don't mind downloading it over night you should be all set.

And I'll be back in the city (and high speed) starting Jan. 1 so it shouldn't be a problem then.

But for now, getting OOTP 8 set up the way I want it is taking quite a bit of time on dial up.
