I really expected this to be a dumbed down version and am so glad it isn't. For me this is exactly how I want to play a text sim. On a phone while doing other things.

This really is nice. To me the killer is no minor leagues for historical seasons. So unless I'm missing something you can't really "re-write history" in any historical league. No drafts or minor league limits those.

I haven't played the 2021 season in app yet but it is my understanding that is more like the normal game (less a few features like scouting).

The games I did play worked really well on my phone. I was surprised how well it played.

Great game! A must have for any baseball fan. They did an awesome job bringing nearly all of the features of the desktop version to the phone. It was well worth the wait.

I never used any version of Out of the Park Baseball until today and I'm near the determination that it's not for me. I started in Perfect Team mode and I'm not sure what I can do to better my team other than to buy better player cards and let the CPU sort out the lineup.

Is there any mode where you can play a friend in a head to head match?

The font is pretty tiny-it would nice if you could pinch and expand the screen.

Is there any mode where you can play a friend in a head to head match? No. You can do it on the PC version but require manual copy/paste.

If they aim to build on this foundation and implement scouting from the PC version with full staffs and varying accuracy levels, and they add in coaching staffs, they'll get all of my money. I'll easily sink tons of hours into a mobile version of OOTP as long as it can get near the same depth as the PC version. The current lack of coaching staffs and scouting is about all that is keeping me from seriously sinking hours into this. I'll do a casual play of 1996, but nothing long-term because of these missing items.

I don't want to play OOTP with 100% accurate ratings and I don't want to play OOTP without coaching staffs. Those are two of my favorite things about the series.
