Yes, very much. Everyone I've talked to about it seems excited. I think the lockout may have been the best thing to happen to the league in the longrun, as far as stabilizing the financials. October can't come soon enough!

I'm extremely pumped up about the upcoming season. I can't speak for other cities, but I can tell you the Canucks will be playing to a packed house everynight. The city is buzzing about hockey returning.

Call me a fool, but I'm ready to open my wallet to buy duckets.

The new rule changes should make it a different game and I think for the better. I just hope scoring does not take too big a jump to jeopardize current and longstanding records. That would be gay if someone came out and scored 120 goals. I dont want a breakaway fest.

Yes! The NHL's gonna have lots of scoring now, maybe even too much. I hope the NHL doesn't become the AFL on ice. It's a little stupid to be able to score on one play with ease in Arena football. It's also pretty sad that a hockey rink is over 50% bigger than an Arena football field(80ft vs 50ft).

Of course. The Philadelphia Flyers are Stanley Cup contenders already. I'm pumped. I want to see how the first shootout goes!

I definitely care. I didn't realize how much I missed it, until they announced the new CBA. I can't wait for October 5th!

I voted that I don't care, but in a way I do, but only because the NHL will simply take up time on NESN Sportsdesk, ESPNEWS, Sportscenter, etc. I respect the opinions of those who like hockey, but it's not my cup of tea.
