The MLB All-Star Experience

Last week, Shawn Drotar had a special opportunity to head to Pittsburgh and meet with the MLB '06 team in person at the All-Star Game and get an idea of what makes them tick.
"Experience. It's invaluable in any line of work; but when you're trying to create a baseball simulation that satisfies the most ardent seam-heads around, it's especially important.

And it helps when the folks designing it are huge fans themselves."

Shawn....

Great to hear that you enjoyed Pittsburgh!

People around here are fanatics about the city, and have never forgiven Barry Bonds, Terry Bradshaw and Chad Brown's wife for dissing it.

The great paradox we have right now is that we have a beautiful ballpark, yet very few people want to go to games there because our team is so bad this year. We have been playing a little better since the All Star Break though, so hopefully this is a sign that we will be more competitive.

Still though - football is king here. The Steelers will be in camp soon, and that will have everyone's attention.....
