Though I agree the Yankees will win the AL EAST. They actually didn't add any more payroll. This years payroll is actually less than last years

They actually did add more payroll, considering the length involved with these deals.

Yes, there current salary figure is lower than last year, but they will be shelling out more cash in the long run.

Yanks continue to field one of the worst defensive teams in the league and people wonder why they can't get over the hump. It boggles my mind. Last time I checked scoring 2 more runs per game is the exact same as allowing 2 less runs per game.

No way the yankees win the division. Everyone thinks that paying their players obsene amounts of money guarantees a champion. Just look at the yankees and the redskins. The red sox and rays will be in a battle every year for a while. A group of guys playing hard as a team will win every time against pre-madonas every time.

How can you say that theres no way there going to win the division? They have the best 5-man rotation in the division, and while I agree there defense is a little shaky, they will score enough runs to shade that factor. I think its ridiculous for anyone to say that theres NO WAY the yankees will win the division.
