Count me as another Baseball Stars fan. I made different All Star teams and bought a stat book which I used to keep the books of every game I played. Then I would type up my final stats at the end of each season. I did the same with Super Tecmo Bowl. Man, was I a dork.

Joey

P.S. Thanks for the article, TJ.

I always wrote down all the injuries in order to keep track of how long players were out (since you could see every one of them while the games were simulating). Trust me, you're not alone.

Re: TJ's Time Machine - Baseball Stars

IMO... this is the greatest baseball game ever. Me and 5 of my buddies would played this game endlessly up until about 3 years ago (batteries just weren't reliable anymore). We would use the Lovely Ladies cheat to earn money, then create realistic attributes based on the current MLB'ers and change the names. Spreadsheets would then be used for a fantasy draft ensued by a full season complete with, adds, drops, trades, and playoffs. I would stockpile as many "BIg Lefties" on my team as possible and mix it in with some good pitching. Probably my #1 video game of all time as I played it throughout 3 decades.

Thanks!
How about Ring Kings (arcade)? Are we limited to ONLY suggesting sports titles? If not, may I suggest (yet another arcade title) Bubble Bobble? Probably my favorite arcade (yeah, I played the Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, etc) title of all time was Flying Shark. I actually "flipped" that game (beating the entire game, only to start over in a more difficult mode). :-)

Super knock out. Man, I loved that game. Wasn't that green out line guy. It was at the arcade. That and track and field.
