No love for the defense in Tecmo Super Bowl? I can't remember his name, but if you played as the Steelers on defense, you could use the nose tackle to sack the quarter-back on every non-shotgun play within about a second of snapping the ball. Even when there was a shotgun play, you had a good chance of it.

I used to rack up 100+ sacks a season as a kid playing that game with that garbage.

The John Elway play was very close to being on this list. To be honest I left it out because it was more like a glitch than anything else. I would put that in the same category as stuff like the quicksand glitch and onside kick glitches.

lol nice list, brings back great memories. I would have put Bo Jackson at #1 though. He was just ridiculous in that game. When me and my friends got together to play, the Raiders were off limits because of him.

Hahaha, you're right I stand corrected. Those extra lives in Mario were pretty tough.

Although, I think I'd probably go with the Contra Code, cause that game was harder as hell with 3 lives.

The wrap-around in NHL '94 was $. Loved that play. Would end up with scores close to the double digits head to head. It was a matter of who could check who before they got it off.

A slap shot was in that game was just as rewarding. Long shot... think it has no chance of going in... BOOM. Right through the 5 hole.
