Will be interesting to see the dominoes fall on this one as more companies that adopted the online pass will probably do the same.

Am I missing something? What's the big deal? When you bought a new EA title the online code was included, free of charge. I can understand that people who buy used titles have to pay to get an on-line pass but $10 is hardly prohibitive.

I'm thinking that they lost revenue from used games sales requiring an online pass. If someone bought a game used and didn't want to buy the required online pass they just didn't bother with the MP aspects of the game. With that EA lost potential customers of multiplayer DLC.

It's better to have the customer in the door, or in the multiplayer game, then entice them with DLC for a better experience. Online Passes stopped them from ever entering.

It's a good move for the company and gamers. That's how I see it.

EA listening to customers,.. yeah right. Take that with a grain. As soon as you let your guard down, they've already had a backup plan in place to screw you. Its a fašade.

A softer, kinder, more gentler EA? Did Peter Moore leave when I wasn't looking?

Have you been locked in a cave? Both companies have confirmed that used games will play on next gen.

Pretty sure places like game stop get 100% of the money on used games.
