Gameplay is the bread and butter topic to many OS'ers, and a game truly cannot be considered great without great gameplay. That is true today, yesterday, and tomorrow.

So when it comes to awarding the best gameplay category here at Operation Sports, we tend to really vote with our passions in this category. This year's winner may be surprising to some, but won't be to many others.

I think Madden 17 should win, but you can't go wrong with the show 16....I own both, so I can say both are great games!

I'm surprised NBA 2K17 got as many votes as it did. Clearly not enough people played MLB this year. Cause 2K17 was a definite letdown in the gameplay department in my opinion.

Do people not play NHL here? It's not the deepest of games but it's gameplay and presentation are top notch

I voted MLB The Show 16. Stellar game play. 2K17 is second for me as well. And Madden 3rd.

I passed on NHL this year and I don't play soccer.

It won by 5.5% not overrated at all man.

The game is in 29% of our opinions.....the closet thing to it's real life counterpart on the console.

I think NBA2K17 was also fantastic....and Madden was strong again this year.
