Once we start to climb past 70 degrees out body naturally starts to warm up from the outside, in.

So, with 98 degree weather that is far past the temperature we need to regulate our body, so in turn that's why we have that "hot" feeling.

Also in these circumstances, we are usually wearing clothes. Clothes stop the process of cooling in a lot of regions of the body, so also makes us hotter than what we usually are, because, you know, decency of not being nekked.

From a physics standpoint, any object will tend to move toward a temperature that is equal equal to its environment, that is a hot object in a cold environment will lose heat to the envirionment and get colder and a cold object in a hot environnment will gain heat from the environment and become warmer with the rate of heat transfer being faster when the termperature of the object and environment are far apart and slower when they are closer together. Now consider the fact that our bodies are constantly producing heat that needs to be dissipated so we don't get cooked by our own metabolism. On a cold day the rate of heat dissipation exceeds the rate of heat production so we get cold but as the weather heats up so that outside temperatures are closer to our body temperature, we eventually reach a point where the rate of heat production exceeds the rate of dissipation so we get hot.

How people pronounce GIF.

It should be pronounced "JIF", like the peanut-butter.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Re: You know what really grinds my gears?

Just got back from the grocery store so this is a complaint of laziness about cart's in the parking lot but not the one we here the most.

The place where all the carts are taken to was a complete mess. It was only about 10 carts but people just through them in there with no consideration of the size and placement (only two sizes here).

It took me about 1 minutes to arrange everything correctly to make it easier on whoever has to come and collect them but so annoying that people can't take 3 seconds to arrange them in the manner they are meant to be stacked.
