Usually bands there would start between nine and ten, and finish around one. The bar would close at two. They just stopped serving booze at midnight.

I've never been to a grocery store that didn't sell alcohol, beer, wine, whatever. I never even thought about it either, until this topic.

Yeah, I grew up in Marion County and the only thing the the preachers and bootleggers could agree on was keeping the "county dry"

Sure did. Left in 2000, when I was a sophomore, to join the military.

A county here in NJ has a different blue law, no selling of non-necessity items on Sunday. -_______-

Most stores in the county are closed, especially the GSP, which is a huge shopping plaza.

I used to work at Whole Foods and we had to close off a section in the 'whole body' area.

As far as liquor, Mon-Sat 'till 10PM and Sunday starting at noon. However, obviously, bars have their licenses 'till later. Also, some places in the urban cities will sell you anything at any time.

In California anything you can buy in a liquor store, you can buy in a grocery store.
