I don't believe therapists can prescribe meds but a psychiatrist could. If you can schedule something with a therapist he or she would help set something up with a psychiatrist. Might not be the same process everywhere but here it's pretty difficult to go straight to a psychiatrist first.

We got like 45 inches. This I think is due to snow drifts as well.
