Well...Humanity is laying an ecological footprint in the solar system now.

It seems like this was already done, but I guess only in movies. Someone’s been watching Matt Damon!

China is really moving the needle lately. I’m very interested to hear more about their findings...

And it's dead, couldn't survive the lunar night.

If life only goal is to survive, I think what we are seeing now with AI and computers/digitizing is just another step in evolution.

Organics are not made for space or traveling long distances. Digital storage, whoever, is perfect for it. Store the information in a hard drive of sorts and send it out to seed among the stars!

Maybe the end game of life is to digitize itself so it can never die....

While all this is true, a lot of people in the know think Earth could have been seeded with life and not even originated here.

Also, we know organics are out there in space because of what we found in the plumes of water shooting out of Enceladus. We've found other organics on Mars as well. So we know that if we are finding them in our own back yard, you can pretty much safely say they are everywhere int he universe.

After 15 years, the end may be near for Opportunity

NASA works to revive Mars rover Opportunity, but hopes are fading

Quote:
NASA's Opportunity rover landed on Mars 15 years ago this week, but the long-lived robot remains out of action in the wake of a global dust storm last summer that caused it to lose power. Engineers are still trying to contact the spacecraft, sending commands and listening for any sort of response, but hopes are fading, a senior manager said Friday.

"We're getting close to the end," said John Callas, the Mars Exploration Rover project manager at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. "At some point, in an emotional sense, you have to say 'enough' and move on, to say goodbye."

Black hole revealed for first time.

Ominous as hell. Nature. Powerful. If that’s how this all ends, I’m okay with it. I’d rather get swallowed up by nature then die by the hand of man.
