Longest standing members.

I didn't really notice this until just the other day but I've been on here for 15 years. Wow. I got to paying attention to other users join dates when they have them listed and noticed that people that have been here longer than me seemed to be few and far between. Which got me thinking, who are some of the longest tenured members here? When was OS even created? I remember I got into this forum around the same time that I was big into (and creating rosters for) NCAA Football on the original XBox.

OS was originally Madden Mania and converted to OS as we know it today in 2002. There are quite a few users still with the original join date of that conversion (all will be the same) but few are active anymore.

Hard to measure who would be the longest tenured active user would be but if I had to guess I would say either BK or SPTO maybe (first two names that came to mind that are still active).

(Not counting Steve of course)

Don't know that I can say I remember Madden Mania. I know that I get on OS pretty much daily, multiple times. Especially in my sports gaming months. It's probably my most frequented website ever. Minus a few bumps in the road, here and there including a couple bans, it's been pretty good to me.

I wasn't here when it was Madden Mania, but I was here before we changed to "the new board" in July 2002.


That's the "join date" a lot of us have.

I clearly remember MM, and I'm pretty sure I was a member of that site. Yet for some reason I have a 2004 OS join date. I always found that odd, and I can't really think of why that would be the case.

In any case, I've been around a really long time too.

Yep same here. I forget if I posted or was a member there. Also I did not know OS was MM. Anyway I didn't join here until a couple years after

For me, before OS, I was on FanFareGames. The best site for CAPs and Sliders.

Along with MM I also frequented Thunderpuck and Baseball Sim Central, if you're looking for a few more blasts from the past.

Is Hellisan still active here? If so I think they've got us all beat.

Ah man Baseball Sim Central, I remember that one as well. Was the go to place for mods with HH2004 & MVP 05.

I think MM was the first board I was a member of, although I posted a lot on the really old usenet groups. I still remember the PS1 Madden-NFL Gameday flame wars on there.

I originally came over here from MM in 2003. I left for awhile and rejoined in 2006.

The Madden Mania name sounds familiar but I was never a member so no memories of that...wish I remembered how I found OS, but it's been too long.

Started with MM in 2002 and migrated here sometime around then, as well...

Might be recalling this wrong, but I though both sites were up and running simultaneously for a short while?
