Update on Amari:

Surgery yesterday was long but it was a success. Amari is breathing on her own and is no longer on life support. Her VAD is functioning as intended and she is resting.

This journey has humbled me beyond measure and restored any faith that had faltered. I know that if we can make it through this, we can make it through anything. I will continue to state that we are not out of the woods yet and the road to recovery is long, BUT BY GOD SHE IS HERE.

Please continue to pray for her and our entire family. Prayer changes things......

This is the greatest of news!

I'm very curious FLIGHT, outside of that voluntary gestures story, how cognizant has she been of this whole thing since the first occurrence that brought us here? Just wondering how often you have been able to communicate with her (even if she hasn't been able to back).
