Update on Amari:

She had another stable day. She was awake intermittently and was showing off more of her cognitive skills by blinking and wiggling her toes. She got her hair washed and her teeth brushed. They did all the simple things for her that we take for granted everyday.

So here’s to another day, another lesson and another blessing. And when you ask me how I’m doing, I won’t complain.

To all of you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, prayers, support.... all the things that you are giving us is the good stuff the world is made of.

I'm in the same boat as PPM, I'm just now seeing this.

This has been a roller coaster of a thread with emotions(from me too) and I'm glad the OS brothers came together and prayed and shared their thoughts/hearts for you and your family.

Amazing news! I was scared to get to the end of this thread. I went from tears to smiling. So happy for you and your family right now. Amari is obviously one hell of a fighter.

I don't normally come into the neighborhood and just happened to click this thread today and read the first post. It was a roller coaster of emotions just reading through this, so I can't even begin to imagine living through it. So glad to see things went well with the operation. Praying that she continues to be the fighter that she's already shown herself to be and that you guys continue to be strong. Sending nothing but positive vibes and prayers to you and your family.

Update on Amari (day 12):

Today was a rough day. We had a few set backs. On most days, none of us think about how our organs support each other and how failure of one usually starts a chain reaction. And such is my current reflection on life.

Love on your loved ones and love on them hard. Pray with us and for us. While we may grow weary, our faith will not.

One day at a time.....
