Yeah IF really is amazing once you get into the habit. Lost 40 pounds in 3 months and barely worked out because of an injury. Energy levels were great and if you have any inflammation you'll start seeing that go away.

I took a month break for the holidays and gained 10 pounds pretty quick but i'm back on it now and feeling much better. Shouldn't of took a break as I had another 20 pounds I wanted to lose.

Started keto the day after Christmas. Down 15 which is a good start. Target is another 15 which will get me to around 175.

What do you eat/take to keep your energy up?

My wife is on it and she seems tired all of the time lol.

It is important to keep carbs at or below 20 grams. The first week most will get tired as the body coverts to using fat to burn for fuel. It is also important to keep water, potassium and magnesium levels up to avoid the keto flu the first week. If there is tiredness after two weeks then something isn’t right. Either lack of sleep, water intake, too much carbs or protein can all keep the body tired as it isn’t balanced.

Check out a site I use often here ruled.me for meals and ideas.

Salt intake on keto is also a must to be able to absorb water in the tissues to stay hydrated.

Half Marathon is in the books! Overall, I felt good about my performance; I ran my race and aside from a brief stroll to deal with a side stitch, ran the entire 13.1 miles. It's funny that while I felt I ran better than last year, my time was about 2 minutes slower. Oh well, not like I was trying to win the thing. Still, I crossed the finish line at 2:15 with a smile on my face. It's always good to challenge yourself and I'm glad I was able to complete this race in good health and spirits.

Taking some recovery time now and then I'll shift focus for a bit and get back on my road bike.

Congratulations! Still faster than my last 1/2 marathon. It was fun and it removed any desire to run a full one 🤣
