Blockbuster
Discovery Zone
Drive-in theaters
KB Toys
Toys R Us

Then more recently...

Circuit City
RadioShack
Sharper Image

I don't know if I miss that they aren't around as much as I just miss those childhood memories.

Not exactly one business, but the mall. Our local mall closed down nearly a decade ago and is being turned into a casino. Strip malls and all that do not capture the feel a lively mall would have back in the day.

Borders. The cd section where I would listen to some unknown music on headphones learned me about a lot of good bands and genres.

Not from childhood, but college years. Place called the House of Donuts. It was a little shack in the parking lot of a bar (which is also now closed) that was a couple blocks from a house I lived in for two years. It was open past bar close and had donuts and huge subs. Many a tear was shed in Duluth, MN when that place shut down.

Arcades that were filled with games that DID NOT dispense tickets.
