Re: Year 5 Discussion - 2018-2019

Auburn Wins On The Road

The last time Auburn traveled to Mississippi State for their annual week 3 battle, Mississippi State mounted a crazy 4th quarter comeback under coach Ricky. This one started off tough and the Tigers went down 10-0 to start the game. The Bulldogs defense forced an interception and played the best run defense that Auburn had faced in a while. Auburn settled in and got on the board twice, one td by each of their backs. A pick 6 to end the half gave Auburn a 21-10 lead at halftime.

The Bulldogs would make a big push in the 4th quarter but it was too little too late with the outstanding defensive performance that Auburn put together in the 2nd and 3rd quarters holding Mississippi State scoreless. Hicks and Robinson controlled the clock gaining their toughest yards when they needed them the most.

Auburn wins 45-31 and is now 3-0 on the year. The Tigers will face UL Monroe next week and hope the players dont look past them with #7 South Carolina coming into town the following week.

Alabama beats #2 Florida 38-24 behind a balanced attack. Will Grier made big play after big play but Bama controlled the ball and never turned it over to outlast the Gators

Re: Year 5 Discussion - 2018-2019

WEEK 4 IS HERE

*GAME OF THE WEEK*
#1 Georgia 3-0 (2-0)
#10 Alabama 3-0 (1-0)

Georgia is the hottest team in the country and is led by Jacob Park, the leading passer in the country. Park is on pace to break a few records already passing for 1,165 yards in his first 3 games with 15 tds and only 2 ints. Park's most impressive stat so far is his 87.8% completion rating.

Alabama is historically good against the run but this is the worst their secondary has looked in years. Hogan had no answer for the Georgia passing attack last year when he was at Texas A&M with a better defense at all levels so with the same DC its hard to believe that this year will be any better. Bama's slow pace could help slow down Parks if SR QB David Cornwell can move the chains on 3rd Downs, but they will need points.

Hogan coached teams are known for their patience and efficiency so this game wont be a track meet, but if Park exposes this Alabama pass defense this could be done by the 3rd quarter.

*Joker has the only bye, the rest are cpu games.... next advance in 2-3 days
