Coach Boog and Mississippi State have parted ways after the Bulldogs went 5-7 this past season. Boog was encouraged to remain for the final year of his contract as the staff still believed that next years team could be good, but Boog accepted the offer from Texas Tech and will attempt to rebuild this program that went 2-10 this year.

Per sources this decision potential decision was made known to Mississippi St a week ago so the heads up allowed them to reach out to a few coaches privately. Mark Richt is presumed to be the next Head Coach at Mississippi St, the details just need to be ironed out and we could see a Bulldog pressure as early as today.
