Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

CMU @ 17 Miami

This game was sloppy by both teams, maybe the rain had to do with it. CMU looked like CMU, alot of dropped passes on offense especially early, a costly fumble on the first drive, and 7 turnovers, 6 by Holmes. Miami was sloppy as well not taking advantage of those turnovers and only scoring 1 td in 5 redzone attempts. The best thing that we can walk away with is that we have our QB. Rosier started the game and was solid but not great, he took a run 80 yards in the first half. At halftime we subbed in Sherriefs to give him a chance to spark the O and needless to say he wasnt ready. Rosier will be our guy this season. Arch did such a good job on defense that he kept it close all 4 quarters and had a chance to win in the 4th but the interceptions saved us. Holmes actually looked good despite his stats. They'll be good in their conference this one was just a poor game by the WRs. Miami wins their opener 23-13. Gotta get alot better.

Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

Despite the 6 int's Holmes will remain the starting QB. Just a bad night for the whole offense, besides Spalding and surprising the O-line. I probably ran too many option routes, my Wr's always seemed to run the wrong options lol. I just called a bad game tbh. Half of the int's were my own fault tho, just trying to force the ball into good coverage. Defense played great outside of Rosiers 80 yard read option run and kept the game closer then it should've been. GG Jr.

WEEK 2

***** GAME OF THE WEEK *****
#9 UNC @ #5 FSU
The defending ACC Champions will have their first true test in this top 10 matchup on the road. There is no doubt that Doak Campbell will be jumping all night for this early season showdown. The head to head matchup to watch will be between 2 runningbacks, Dalvin Cook and Elijah Hood, who could easily be in the league right now but they both decided to come back for a National Championship. Both backs are front runners for the Heisman trophy so this will be a chance to make a statement.

((((( U5 GAMES )))))
***** 12 Texas Tech @ West Virginia
**** 14 Miami @ 16 Nebraska
*** 1 Ohio St @ CMU
*** Tulane @ Georgia
** SMU @ ECU
* Utah St @ 3 Tennessee

Re: Rivals 2017-2018 Discussion

CMU 27 OSU 52.. When did we change sliders again? Holmes was 2/7 with 2 int's before he was injured for the rest of the game. O-line pass blocking was horrible, QB was sacked 4 times and hit a bunch. Wr's had 5 drops, not counting the few that hit them in the faces. The one bright spot was Spalding, who finished was 118 yds and 3 td's. OSU Rb had 120 rushing yds, 103 receiving with 2 total td's. CMU has a bye next week, then they play a speedy SMU team.

SMU is RTA. Missed passes. Multiple picks thrown. So many missed tackles.
Feels good to be back. 🙃
