The Tar Heels dominate the Pirates
Chapel Hill, NC

Coming off a tough loss against # 2 South Carolina, the Tar Heels really wanted to come out with a lot of intensity. They certainly followed through on that as they defense turned ECU over 4 times, including 2 defensive TD's. After the game, Coach Charles couldn't stop saying how proud he was of his team, who held ECU to under 200 yards, and -28 on the ground. A lot of that because of the teams 7 sacks on the day.

"It was a tough way to start the season with a close loss to such a great team, but I couldn't be prouder of how this team fought today", Charles said.

The one rough spot was again Sr. QB Mitch Trubisky's 3 interceptions. That makes 7 through only 2 games, and he knows in order to pull out a win in Columbus, his decisions will have to improve.

The Tar Heels have another bye week before facing the Buckeyes's at the horseshoe. This team seems very excited to try and prove they can with these big games.
