The Tigers begin their 2026 campaign with a 36-24 win against the Idaho Vandals. Idaho played tough and actually had a 24-10 lead at one point in the 3rd quarter but Senior QB, Terrence Byran was able to over come 4 interceptions and lead his team back with the help of Senior WR, Trey Ingram who had 10 catches for a mammoth 321 yards. Including catches of 66 (td), 85 (td), 34, 43. The Vandals secondary continued to play their corners in cover 2 and while it helped them immensely in containing the short Mizzou passing game, it left Ingram open on many plays deep.
Both QB's combined for almost 900 yards passing as Bryan had 534 to Idaho's, Davis who had 351.
The Tigers gave up a ton on defense and I guess that was as to be expected given they had 2 redshirt freshman starting at both safety spots and 3 true freshman starting at linebacker.
Maryland dominates TCU 56-7. Redshirt Junior HB Michael Burks runs for 143 yards and 4 TDs (Hogan style) in his debut for the Terrapins. Coach Francis has noted that he is looking forward to this year. Writers and analysts are hinting that this may be the year Maryland proves their relevancy. Let's see if they're right.
The more I sit here and think and look at the Rosters for the B1G East, the more I think that if Ricky plays this season right he could finish at the top of the B1G.
