Ohio State played uninspired football but managed a win against Ball State by a final 35-17.

The offense was very inconsistent at the line of scrimmage allowing 2 sacks and multiple hurries.

The one bright spot for the Buckeyes was the play of Sophmore linebacker Darius Outlaw. He had 13 tackles and a sack.

A very young Texas squad narrowly defeats Toledo 35-28. Overall the team struggled but backup RB Kyle Davenport did amass 374 all-purpose yards which includes a 107 yard kickoff return.
