Defense is going to have to pitch shutouts this year.

Ohio State played uninspired football but managed a win against Ball State by a final 35-17.

The offense was very inconsistent at the line of scrimmage allowing 2 sacks and multiple hurries.

The one bright spot for the Buckeyes was the play of Sophmore linebacker Darius Outlaw. He had 13 tackles and a sack.
