Re: OSCFL Championship & Bowl History
Georgia wins the 2014 BCS Championship
The game started out slow as both teams changed possessions a few times in the first quarter. Then the Bulldogs strikes first with a touchdown run by Heisman winner, Todd Gurley. Early in the second quarter, the Oklahoma State Cowboys answers with a touchdown run of their own by QB C. Chelf. Georgia goes three and out on their next possession and sensed a momentum change. But the Bulldogs answered the bell with a pick six on the very next play by CB B. Langley. Georgia finished the half with a field goal to go up 24-7. The third quarter was a grind for both teams, both turning the ball over, and no points on the board. But the Cowboys weren't out of it yet. Just when Georgia was about to put the game away, Heisman winner, Todd Gurley, fumbles at the goal line injuring himself in the process. The Cowboys went on a long drive to make the score 24-14. Georgia gathers themselves, goes back down the field with a long drive of their own, and clinches the title with a touchdown pass by senior QB Aaron Murray with a little over two minutes to go. Final score: Bulldogs 31 - Cowboys 14. Player of the game went to DE Ray Drew with 5 TFL, 3 Sacks, FF, FR. Heisman Trophy Winner, Todd Gurley, finished with 101yds on 15 carries with 2 TDs. A great finish to a wonderful season for the champs, Georgia Bulldogs!
