Strat is my favorite sim. What started as a board game 50 years ago is still relevant, still meaningful, whether it is on PC or played with the old dice, cards, and charts. The PC version is very low tech, but there is a simplicity with the interface that makes it very accessible. The results are very realistic. It's your mind, not your fingers that count in this game.

If there is anyone out there who is looking for a new baseball sim, that is established and realistic, check out Strat. If you are feeling burned out on consoles and feel like trying to "roll the bones," Strat will deliver an interesting experience.

Just curious, do they still make the board game? I think that would be a nice change of pace. It would be nice to have some fun with a game that you don't have to rely on technology for.

Yes, I am. I love Strat, but I love the PS3, as well. The Strat Forum has some real veterans. They are really knowledgeable, really into the game.

You sound like me. I am pretty new to Strat, but it is so deep and random/realistic. Got my first set a few months ago.
