Reason I ask is I noticed the Mets new blue alternate jerseys are in 2k but not in MLB The Show.

Are things different for 2k? I was under the impression everyone making a game need follow the style guide.

Not sure to be honest mate. I would think so.

There are a lot of style guide experts here so one of them should answer you.

As you say though,there are a lot of uniform things that game does more correctly than the show so maybe not.

Yeah but you have to remember 2k has the exclusive mlb rights while the show has third party rights, however they do both have to follow the style guide and unlike any other sport baseball is very strict on this.

Also keep in mind that it depends on both when the developers cut off date is for adding new uniforms in the creation process and when the team reports the changes to the MLB to be added to the style guide.

One reads a lot of conflicting information about what can & can't be
in regards to the style guide, but maybe 2k is following an old style guide
& the Show is following a new (or vice versa) & Major League Baseball
is ok with that.
