Just want to hear your input

OK I have been on XBOX since the original days. I have struggled through the last few years of so so 2k baseball franchise and every year about this time I consider buying a PS console just to get The Show and the import baseball games Powerpros, Pro Yakyu etc.

So this year, I can actually afford to buy a new console. and I wonder should I just save $100+ and get PS3, and go with that version of the show, PP and PY? Or make the jump into PS4 and only get The Show this year?

Honestly, I don't care about much else in the PS4 or Xbox One lineups really. I play PC most time these days and have really dropped on my FPS gaming. I would really Probably use Xbox ones features more. But I really want to play some baseball. And I LOVE the PowerPro series. I have not been able to play the Pro Yakyu Spirits yet.

I know RBI is supposedly coming to all systems, but really we know nothing about this game yet.

Help a gamer out. What do yall think?

For a relatively small investment you can pick up a used PS3 MLB 12 and 13 and Pro Yakyu 13 for the console. You can also pick up the Uncharted series as well as The Last Of Us.

I would definitely get PYS13 it is the best of the series by far. I just got the game and can't stop playing it.

I wouldn't count on RBI. If you're really into baseball, I would get one of the Sony consoles.

You're probably better off getting a PS3. I have a PS4 and am completely unimpressed, and realistically as good as SCEA is a first year on next-gen will likely be somewhat rough and a transition year.

Plus you get PYS and the other great exclusives. I'd wait on a PS4.

I say get the mature & polished PS3 games and wait until the PS4 builds a decent library of bug free games (that may be awhile.)

Thanks!! I admit, I am leaning toward PS3 and then eventually Xbox One. I can order PYS 13, and PowerPro13 and still be less than the PS4 start price.

I think I am most likely going this route. I don't really see using it for much more than a Baseball game console and a blueray player.

Yes possibly but not if he wants to play power pros or pys and also the ps4 version of the show will only look better it won't play any better.

You're right I might be a little jealous. But I will still have PowerPros and pys. Really it is a waste of money to buy the system for baseball only. But I feel it its more of a waste if I buy a PS4 for baseball only since there are not as many options just yet.

I really don't play console as much anymore. But I would play some baseball. I am mainly on the PC these days. Maybe this Christmas season or early 2015 there will be prices, or bundles that change my mind.

Man it is a hard decision for me...
