I don't understand your reasoning. The video starts at 1:44. You only have to watch 1:44 to 2:00 which is only 16 seconds not 10 minutes.

It hit an invisible barrier. The ball was going over the wall and was right of the foul poll. Invisible barriers like that were common in sprite-based sport games. It's a bug. Should of been a HR!

Now if we could only backward engineer that tech we could develop shields like in Independence Day or like the fence in Home Improvement that largely kept Wilson away from the Taylors for multiple seasons. Sort of like that.
